Now Leasing

Normally, I don’t do a weekend post.  But, this weekend, I won an invite code for HDR Spotting from John Telthorst (@DigitalBlind) of  I am super excited because of the inspiration in technique – both in framing and HDR processing – that all of the other contributors have added to the site.  With that, my first submission will be “Now Leasing”; a late night shot near our downtown “metro” area of Lancaster.

That’s a great shot! I especially like the green glow and the beams of light on the streetlamp… Did you have to “repair” the lensflare or does the Nikkor 24-70mm have such a clean one naturally?
I’ll have the first part of an HDR tutorial series up in a few hours, and I’d appreciate your feedback very much!

    • The lens itself is quite clean, however, playing with the angle of the lens against the strong light source can minimize the flaring.

Thanks for the info. I’ll have to pay better attention to my lensflares in the future – I’ve had several already which needed a PS treatment in order not to ruin the picture…
