If you are in the Northeast, then you’re getting the great pleasure of seeing trees flowering. I don’t think there’s a better combination of a flower, color, and texture to a landscape than a redbud tree. There are two types of redbuds; one that produces a green leaf and another that produces a purple/deep red leaf. I’m not sure how you would tell the difference until the leaves come out, but when we were looking to get one for our yard, the Arbor Day Foundation noted that the green leaf variety is often called a “forest pansy tree”. That makes zero sense to me, but I guess they know a few things about trees. You can sign up to support them and you get 10 free trees… four survived and they are planted together. Currently, it is producing a lovely show:
I’m gonna miss this little guy…
While at a stop, I had an opportunity to take a quick set of brackets. I don’t know which stop it was, but it was close to NYC.
I’ve had a tendency to purposefully put the sun lens flare into the shots… I know there are a lot of folks who absolutely hate them. [Sorry to you folks!] I’ve finding that it is part of my “style” (if there is such a thing).
One another side note, I was out at our building lot again today at sunrise. So excited. Here’s why:
Like everyone else, we were waiting around for the board to tell us which track our train would depart. These two seemed a little extra confused or concerned. I added a little extra post-processing to this one… I like the way it turned out. I used onOne PhotoTools, Lightroom and Photoshop to create the effect(s).
On another note, check out this old vending machine! Can you believe you have to clip the items in and let them just hang there?!
